Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art developed primarily
by the Gracie family in Brazil over the course of the 20th century that focuses on taking the opponent to the ground
where he can be controlled and forced to submit with a huge variety of chokes and joint locks. During
training and competition all submission holds are applied in a measured and progressive manner so that there is plenty
of time to "tap out" before any damage is caused and a student applying a submission will always release the hold
immediately to ensure his opponents safety.

training trains movements not muscles! In other words functional training prepares and conditions you by practicing movements
that are towards your desired goals. It will get you fit and ready for the ring in a way that training machines cannot offer.
